A Classic Demo Tape, released in 2005 with a Raw, Punchy and Speaker Abrasive Sound, Combined with a Cloudy Atmosphere of Cold, Combative Guitars, Fluent Bass, Hammering Drums and Vocals of Hateful Projection. Visions of Blasphemy is undoubtedly a Legendary and Influential Demo Tape within the US / Pacific Northwest Black Metal Underground, influencing the sound of Washington Black Metal Elites. Most notably being that of Hulder, also from Olympia…
Not much is known about Funeral Dirge, other than the fact that they've played obscure live shows, and rehearsed in the downstairs portion of an old auto-shop, with fellow Washington Black Metal band, Wolves in the Throne Room existing upstairs above them within their own practice space... The old auto-shop was eventually scrapped and has since been turned into "The Cryptatropa". A Bar and Live Venue, frequently occupied by underground metal & goth bands... Post Funeral Dirge, the status of the members is mostly unknown, aside from Leporous, the guitarist, who is known to have gone onto play in the Heavy Metal band Christian Mistress for a handful of releases, whilst vocalist, Skuldronus, briefly played in a Thrash Metal band called Dungeon Beast..."
